What is this mod?

A small mod adds the !gpt command: the following text is sent to the model and the answer appears in Minecraft. It is a lightweight in-game reference without NPCs or complex actions.

In short: A simple way to try AI in Minecraft, but it is a chat interface rather than an autonomous companion.

What it can do

  • Questions from the in-game chat
  • Short !gpt command
  • Builds for several Minecraft generations
  • Very few extra gameplay mechanics

What you need

  • A compatible Forge or NeoForge version
  • Internet access
  • An API key for a supported service

Installation

  1. Install the correct Forge / NeoForge version for Minecraft 1.20.1–26.1.2.
  2. Choose a file for your exact game version on the official project page.
  3. Move the .jar file into .minecraft/mods.
  4. Add every dependency listed by the author, then launch a separate test profile.
  5. Configure a local model or your own API key. Never share the key.

Important limitations

  • The mod does not control the player or the world
  • Requests are sent to an external provider
  • Pricing and API limits must be checked separately
