What is this mod?
Speaking Villagers gives villagers contextual dialogue, memory, relationships, and procedurally generated quests based on their surroundings and the player’s actions.
In short: A clear entry point into AI mods when you want lively villagers rather than a general-purpose chatbot.

What you need
Fabric Loader and Fabric API
Java 21
Your own API key
Mod Menu is recommended by the author
Installation
Install the correct Fabric version for Minecraft 1.20.1–1.21.5.
Choose a file for your exact game version on the official project page.
Move the .jar file into .minecraft/mods.
Add every dependency listed by the author, then launch a separate test profile.
Configure a local model or your own API key. Never share the key.
Important limitations
Some voice features are limited to Windows
Multiplayer is not fully optimized yet
API usage may incur charges
